Biographical Note

Henry C. Schergens was born in 1857 in Ohio to J. and C. Rener Schergens, who were born in Germany. He married Mary [Marie] Gebhardt in Marion County, October 15, 1885. His jewelry business is listed at 151 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana in 1889 and he was listed as a jeweler in the 1930 census. He died in 1934 and was buried in Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis, Indiana on April 30, 1934.
