Administrative History

Polk's Indiana State Gazatteer and Business Directory lists Venard and Wilson, druggists, in Lagoda in 1880; Routson and Bernard, druggists, in 1885; Routson and Venard, druggists and jewelry, in 1890 and 1891-1892. James C. Rouston and Thomas J. Venard operated the company in 1895-1896. None of the three names are listed in the 1916-1917 directory, the only date available after 1892.
