Biographical Note

William C. Ewing was born to John V. and Amanda Ewing on August 15, 1858 in Sugar Grove, southeast of Rochester, and was the youngest of three children. He married Maggie [Margaret] C. Nicodemus on February 17 or 18, 1882 in Fulton County, Indiana. They were divorced in 1910 or 1911. He married Louise E. Brubaker on September 27, 1911. Margaret Ewing died December 29, 1930. He worked in real estate and insurance for over 55 years and had been a justice of the peace for 38 years. He died on May 8, 1940 and is buried in the Rochester Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF) Cemetery, Rochester. Indiana. Louise died in 1941 and is buried next to him.
