Mooresville, Indiana reminiscences

 Collection — Folder: S1901
Identifier: S1901

Scope and Contents

This collection includes handwritten reminiscences by an unknown author regarding experiences from his childhood in Mooresville, Indiana. His first story describes meeting a boy named "Hurshall" who was traveling with a group performing "The Last Days of Pompeii" when the author was about 6 years old. The second story with the faint title, "How I Got the Reward," is incomplete and involves the town's efforts to catch some thieves and his involvement with reporting some suspicious men to a neighbor on his way home. Composed on 5 sheets of lined paper, the first story is written on the front of each sheet and the second story is written on the back of the same sheets of paper.
