Scope and Contents

This collection includes Leland Roseman's World War II fuel oil and mileage ration stamps along with his mileage rationing record issued December 18, 1944. The collection also includes a program from the first Indiana Safety and Health Congress held in November 1943 at the Claypool and Lincoln hotels in Indianapolis.

Biographical / Historical

Leland E. Roseman was born March 31, 1907 at Vincennes, Indiana to Edward and Leafy Roseman. He moved to Indianapolis in 1924 and married Ferne Martin on June 6, 1935. He worked as a stone setter for Herff Jones, a diamond salesman for Rogers Jewelry and then a salesman in the camera department at the William H. Block Company before he retired in 1973. He passed away at the age of 69 on January 2, 1977.
