Administrative History
Hanson, Van Camp Co., wholesale suppliers of hardware, iron, and tinner’s stock, occupied 78, 80 and 82 South Illinois Street in 1887. Julius A. Hanson was president of the company.
When Clothing Co., which claimed to be the largest store in Indiana, occupied 30, 32, 34, 36, and 38 North Pennsylvania Street in 1906. J.T. Brush was president of the clothing firm.
Condersaar & Co., established in 1872, a dealer in produce, occupied 22 and 24 South Delaware Street in 1915. George Condersaar and John H. King were the owners.
Frank B. Ainsworth & Co., dealer in subscription books, occupied 41 Vance Block in 1915.
