Biographical Note
Darley L. Storey, who donated the items in this collection, lived in Newport News, Virginia, in 1980. His grandmother was a member of the Clark family mentioned in the collection. William Clark, one family member recorded by these records, was a property owner in Auburn, Indiana, in 1886. Mary Clark, another Clark recorded by the records, was a member of the Women’s Relief Corps, an auxiliary of the Grand Army of the Republic, in 1900.
