This collection includes correspondence, official and financial contracts, legal documents, ballots, maps and surveys from government officials and citizens in Woodstock, Marion County, Indiana ranging from 1920 to 1954 regarding town incorporation and business.

There is also an oversize folder with maps ranging from 1927 to 1930 and undated (OBC136).

Administrative History

Woodstock was incorporated by the Marion County, Indiana Board of County Commissioners on January 11, 1921, after 13 residents voted yes (none voting no) on Nov. 27, 1920. The total population at the time was 18 persons. It is located east of Michigan Road and overlooks the canal and the White River.
