Biographical Note
Henry Ransford served in the Civil War as a Union soldier in Company I, Illinois 11th Infantry Regiment,
October 7, 1864. He was mustered out on July 14, 1865, winning three medals. He died on April 20, 1911
in Fairbanks, Indiana.
