Biographical Note

Mary Elizabeth Plummer was born on April 15, 1906 near Bedford, Indiana, the daughter of Newton C. Plummer and Maude May Hobbs. She had three younger brothers, all of whom served in the Navy or Marines during World War II. She married Davidson Taylor, who was an executive with the Columbia Broadcast Company. She was a journalist, first in Indiana, then Kentucky, then with the Associated Press in New York City, New York. She died during November 1993, in Richmond City, Virginia. "Plummer, Mary Elizabeth".
