This collection contains cards sent to Zula May Carr ranging from 1919 to 1944 and several personal documents, including a November 1, 1926 health certificate, a December 21, 1931 summons regarding her divorce, a April 21, 1937 heating fuel contract, and a December 31, 1950 dues receipt for the Columbia Rebekah Lodge No. 565 of Anderson, Indiana.

Biographical note

Zula May Tescher was born on January 30, 1900 in Hamilton County, Indiana to Samuel and Hester Tescher. She married Francis L. Ginder in September 1920, but they later divorced in the early 1930s. By the 1940 Census, she was married to Clifford Carr and they were together until his death in 1976. Mrs. Carr lived much of her life in Anderson, Indiana, but moved to Florida a few years before her death at the age of 85 on February 26, 1985.
