Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles collection
Collection — Folder: S1627
Identifier: S1627
Scope and Contents
There are two items in this collection. A small card lists the prefixes for 1960 license plates from Indiana counties. On the reverse of the card, it says: "Be sure to vote November 8, 1960 and re-elect Harold Neuenschwander for Recorder of Boone County, Republican Ticket, your support and vote will be appreciated." The other item is a letter on The Indiana Farm Safety Council, Inc. letterhead. It is addressed to "Dear Editor" and is from Virginia Stamper, Chairman, Public Information. The 1967 letter states that, effective January 1, 1968, a new traffic emblem will be required on slow moving vehicles using public highways. The emblem is an orange and red fluorescent triangle. Vehicles traveling less than 25 mph must have this emblem when traveling in the day time, and a flashing red or amber light when traveling at night.
