This collection contains a two-page letter from B. F. Reinmund, secretary of the Covenant Mutual Life Association, in Galesburg, Illinois to A.C. Daily, Auditor of the State, in Indianapolis, Indiana on April 21, 1899, regarding the employment and firing of H.H. Husted, who stole postage stamps from the company. Included is a typed copy of E. F. Phelps's affidavit about Husted's theft of company property and malicious false statements about the association after he was dismissed.
