This collection contains one letter from Emmett Mellenthin, managing director of the Manion Forum radio show in South Bend, Indiana to the Indiana State Library in Indianapolis, Indiana on July 20, 1964 regarding a convention held in San Francisco which was "a victory for Conservatism" and Mellenthin's thoughts on the 1964 presidential election and liberals' opinons about the right-wing program.

Administrative History

Manion Forum was a radio show hosted by Clarence Manion, Dean of Notre Dame School of Law (1941-1952), which broadcast from 1954 to 1979. The program began with commentaries by Mr. Manion, but later added interviews with guest speakers. He was a leading voice for political conservatism in the United States.
