This collection comprises a ticket to the second nomination of Charles W. Fairbanks as a U.S. senator for Indiana at the Indiana Statehouse on January 20, 1903. The ticket belonged to one W. E. Henry and was signed by Lieutenant Governor Newton W. Gilbert.

Biographical Note
Charles Warren Fairbanks (1852-1918) served as a U.S. senator for Indiana from 1897 to 1905. Originally from Ohio, Fairbanks moved to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1874, where he worked as a railroad financier before beginning his political career. From 1905 to 1909, the Republican politician held the position of vice president of the United States under President Theodore Roosevelt.
