Administrative History

Walter C. Woodward was director and Lucy M. Elliott was assistant director of the Indiana Historical Commission and centennial celebration when they sent this form letter addressed "Dear Centennial Worker" in 1921, five years after the Indiana's statehood centennial in 1916. The historical commission later became the Indiana Historical Bureau.
