Scope and Contents

This collection is divided into three folders thus: Folder 1, A-F; Folder 2, G-P; and Folder 3: R-W. Each folders contains the two-page survey forms sent to the Indiana Federation of Art Clubs from public libraries in Indiana. The only document with a date is a letter from the Fayette County Federated Clubs, dated March 29, 1929, which informs Mrs. F. J. Sheehan, Gary, Indiana, that they have "431 prints of famous pictures" in their public library. None of the surveys is dated. The survey requests information concerning: (1) art magazine subscriptions; (2) if the library has an art room; (3) whether the library holds exhibitions; (4) the works of art; and (5) additional information about art activities.
