Scope and Contents

This collection includes one poem written by Dr. E. D. Freeman entitled "Decree of the Muses, A Tribute to the Author of Sheridan's Ride," (two pages); and three poems and an article written by Lyman H. Price, which are as follows: "The Knobs and The Hill-Billy Boys" dated, April 4, 1943 (article, six pages); "It's Great To Be Out Here in Old Indiana" dated, September 10, 1948 (poem, one page); "Mountain Gazing" dated, April 10, 1949 (poem, one page); "A Poet in Our Midst" dated, circa 1954 (poem, half a page).

Biographical Note

Lyman H. Price was born in Washington County, Indiana, about 1878. After graduating from Indiana State Teacher's College, he served as principal of Hartsville School, before moving to Indianapolis about 1902. He worked in the real estate business in Indianapolis. Mr. Price died on March 29, 1952.
