Biographical / Historical
Annette Danglade was the daughter of Dr. Theophile M. and Sarah "Sallie" (Pleasants) Danglade. She was born on November 23, 1875 in San Jose, California, but lived the majority of her life in Switzerland County, Indiana on the family farm near Vevay and in the town. She and her sister-in-law operated a dry good store for several years and she conducted an antique shop from her home in her later years. She was active in a number of clubs and organizations, including the Switzerland County Historical Society, the Julia L. Dumont Club, and the Indiana Pioneers Society. Miss Danglade passed away at the age of 87 on June 4, 1963.
