This collection includes a letter from George J. Mayer II in Indianapolis, Indiana dated May 29, 1959 regarding the formation of a Citizens-in-Politics Club and inviting the recipient to a meeting. The letter also presents commentary on Republican mayoral candidate Roscoe "Rocky" Stovall.

Citizens-in-Politics organization was formed in 1959 by George J. Mayer II, grandson of Indianapolis business owner George J. Mayer, as a supposedly bipartisan club "for the purpose of educating citizens of both parties to be more fully informed on political matters."
