Biographical Note

Pleasant Wheeldon was born on July 4, 1835 in Indiana, to Cornelius and Cynthia Weldon. He lived in Johnson County, Indiana with his family in 1850. Wheeldon enlisted as a private in Company B, 75th Indiana Regiment on July 17, 1862 during the U.S. Civil War. He married Lydia A. Wheeldon in Decatur County, Indiana August 31, 1865. Wheeldon died on January 7, 1893, in Jennings County, Indiana and was buried in Scipio Cemetery, Jennings County, Indiana.
