There are five items in this collection as follows: (1) Indianapolis News article dated September 3, 1966, titled "It Goes Like This" with photo of Homer J. Walt presenting Gov. Roger Branigin with a copy of his song, "In Hoosierland," written in 1949; (2) an article from The Plain Dealer, North Vernon, Indiana, dated October 13,1966, with photo, entitled "Tunnel Mill Should Be Restored Now"; (3) a song sheet for "In Hoosierland" published by Jennings County Historical Society; (4) an article in The Plain Dealer dated January 12, 1967, entitled "Group Formed to Push Tunnel Mill" with photo of Homer Walt; and (5) an article published March 2, 1967 in The Plain Dealer, with headline "Homer Walt Speaks to Local Students on Tunnel Mill."

Biographical Note
Homer J. Walt wrote the song, "In Hoosierland", in 1949, which was recorded and used as a theme by the Dixie Four for several years. Walt advocated for the restoration of Tunnel Mill and the Tunnel Mill dam near Vernon, Indiana. Ebenezer Baldwin had the mill constructed on the Muscatatuck River a mile southwest of Vernon in 1824.
