This collection includes an account book by John C. Ullery ranging from 1878-1888. Entries included are for shearing sheep, hauling clover seed, husking corn, butchering, and hauling manure. He also recorded payments to people who did work for him. South Bend is mentioned as a source for supplies. On the inside cover, Myrtle Ullery is stamped in ink.

Biographical Note

John C. Ullery was born around 1845 in Ohio. He married Margaret C. Miller on November 19, 1864. In 1920, they lived in South Bend, Indiana. He died around 1923 and is buried at Portage Prairie Cemetery in St. Joseph County, Indiana.
