This postcard was mailed in Columbia City, Indiana, on May 26, 1874, to Joseph B. and Loraine Souder, from "Your Pastor, A. H. Studebaker." The printed card invites "Dear Friend" to next Sabbath when they have communion at Central Hall. The final line reads: "Come. Come humbly, trustfully, prayefully." The name of the church is not given.

Nothing is known about Rev. A. H. Studebaker except that he went to Wittenberg College and was pastor of a church in Columbia City, Indiana, in 1874. Nothing is known about Joseph B. and Loraine Souder, to whom this post card is addressed, except that they lived in Columbia City in May 1874.
