Scope and Contents
The first folder includes Anna C. Stover's autograph book from her time as a student at Ladoga High School. On one of the pages are the signatures of the Graduation Class of 1884. They are: Tudie Slade, Mary E. Kehoe, Mary Widday, Anna Pinkston, George Huntington, Grant E. Rose, D. W. Bonsack, Earl Onear, and Anna Stover. Under this list are "Rest of Class of '84 & 3." These ere Cora Daughtery, Lottie Fuller, and Angie Kelley. Enclosed between the pages is a ribbon imprinted "L.H.S. '93."The first signature was written by her brother: "D. C. Stover, Christmas 1881, Denver, Colo." The most recent signature is from her Sunday school teacher, Mattie Cox, Crawfordsville, April 16, 1885.
In the second folder, there are four items, only one of which is dated. A booklet entitled "A Tribute to the American Woman, Frances E. Willard, by Hon. Albert J. Beveridge of Indiana" is dated February 17, 1905. Mr. Beveridge gave this published speech when the Willard statue was unveiled in the U.S. Capitol. Ms. Willard brought half a million women "into organized cooperation in the Women's Christian Temperance Union." There is a paper in red and blue which says: "Subscriber V Victory Liberty Loan awarded by the United States Treasury Department." A cardboard with torn corner states: "A man from this house is now serving his country at the front in the United States Navy." The last item is a small blue cloth with a white rectangle in the center. On the white cloth is a blue felt, five-pointed star.

Biographical Note
The Stover family came to Ladoga from Roanoke County, Virginia, in September 1832. Their pioneer ancestor was George Stover.
