Biographical Note

Ariel E. Drapier, who established the South Bend Forum, received a letter from Father Sorin about his sons attending the University of Notre Dame. Father Edward Frederick Sorin was born in 1814 in Ahuille, Departement de la Mayenne, Pays de la Loire France and died in 1893 in South Bend, Indiana. He is the founder of the University of Notre Dame in 1842 in Northern Indiana at the age of 28.
