Biographical Note
Samuel A. Smith was born in Kentucky about 1821. He married Eliza A. Smith and they had several children, including James C., Mary E., Jonas R. Lewis W., and Ella B. He worked primarily a businessman and farmer and lived near Bloomington, Indiana.
