Biographical Note

Henry C. Leeson was born on August 5, 1841 in Indiana to Moses and Elizabeth Leeson. He had thrre siblings. He enlisted, as a corporal, in the 8th Indiana Regiment, Company D on September 5, 1861 and was promoted to sergeant. Leeson mustered out on September 4, 1864. He married Anna D. Henderson on June 18, 1868 in Wayne County, Indiana and they had two daughters. He worked as a retail grocer in 1880. Leeson died in 1916 and was buried in Centerville, Indiana.
