This collection includes correspondence from 1968 as well as an original 18-page draft and 6 photographs for Murdock’s manuscript, "A Story of Indiana Geology." Correspondence includes 3 letters between Murdock and John B. Patton, State Geologist with the Indiana Geological Survey, regarding suggestions and comments for the manuscript; a fourth letter is from Robert Shaver, Soil Conservation Service, granting permission to use fossil illustrations. Also included is the business card for Stanley H Murdock.

Biographical Note
Stanley H. Murdock was a certified professional geologist and consultant in environmental geology who resided in Washington, Indiana, in the 1960s. During that decade he was with the United States Department of Agriculture’s Soil Conservation Service, which had offices in Paoli, Indiana.
