Historical Note

This collection includes a copy of an 11-part series featured in the Anderson Herald, September 15, 1966 to September 28, 1966, for the Indiana Sesquicentennial. The series, written by Miss Viola Phillips, church editor of the Herald, tells the story of the Moravian Indian mission that operated in Anderson, Indiana. An introductory article published on September 15, 1966, lists references used for Miss Phillips' feature story.
