Historical Note

B.P. Ethell was a shipping company out of New Orleans from at least 1858-1865 that had a route to Cairo. A deposition of Jules Le More states that J.M. Lapeyre, who worked for B.P. Ethel in 1865, was a respectable citizen who is entitled to respect and confidence.
