Biographical Note

John S. McGraw was a blacksmith in Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana. McGraw served as lieutenant, captain, and colonel in the 57th Indiana Regiment, serving in Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, and Texas (1861-1866).
