Biographical Note
William McCole was born in 1798, on a sailing vessel, coming from Scotland to the United States. William married Ruth McGuire in 1823. The couple had nine children. Cyrus Jackson McCole, the fifth child of William and Ruth, was born October 25, 1831. George McCole, son of Cyrus, was born in 1880.
