Historical Note

The P.R. Mallory and Company Inc. was founded by Philip Rogers Mallory (1885-1975) in 1916 at Port Chester, New York. The company started out manufacturing tungsten wire light bulb filaments and later manufactured other electronic components such as batteries and capacitors. An international electrical and electronics business, Mallory moved the company to Indianapolis in 1929. The company is now known as Mallory Sonalert Products, Inc. and the company continues to be an innovator of new electronic products.
