Biographical / Historical

No information was available about Ellen Keeney.

James M. Leak was born on October 20, 1841 to Landonn and Sarah A. Leak. He served in the 33rd Regiment, Company I, Indiana Volunteers. He enlisted on March 15, 1865 and was mustered out on July 21, 1865, as a private. He married Mary P. Dickey on August 6, 1865 and they had four children. He was living with his parents as of the 1880 U.S. federal census and is listed as single. He married Sarah F. Hedge on September 13, 1899. He died Jan. 2, 1918 and is buried in Lizton, Indiana where he lived for a number of years.
