Biographical Note

Johnathon [Jonathon Joseph] was born in Ohio in 1826 to Jeremiah and Mary Joseph; he was one of two children. He married Barbara Hill In Fort Wayne, Indiana on December 17, 1854. They had five children and lived in Maples, Allen County, Indiana for some time. He had very strong anti-abolitionist views and wrote poetry. He died May 2, 1909 in Anderson, Indiana.
