Biographical Note

Anne Kopcha Hudspeth was born to John and his first wife, Katherine, Kopcha (both from Austria) on August 8, 1907 and grew up in Illinois. She was one of seven children and worked as a clerk for a railroad. She married Virgil L. Hudspeth on November 3, 1926 in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. They lived at 2106 Schrage and 438 John, in Whiting, Indiana from 1945 to 1959. She wrote a number of poems during World War II and after. She died August 1978 and is buried in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Hammond, Indiana.
