Biographical Note

Samuel B. Huddleston was the son of Jesse and Editha Brown Huddleston, born May 10, 1843 in Dublin, Indiana. He was the oldest of four children. He enlisted as a private in Company C, 84th Infantry Regiment Indiana on August 8, 1862, was awarded a distinguished service medal and was mustered out on June 14, 1865. He married Sarah Elizabeth Johnson on May 12, 1867 in Franklin County, Indiana and they had seven children. He died December 3, 1917 in Dublin, Indiana.
