Biographical Note
Hiram Hines was born on May 20, 1860 in Ohio to William and Hannah Hines. He served in the 57th Regiment, Indiana Infantry, Company H as a musician and sergeant. He married Sarah Neal on May 20, 1869 in Hamilton County, Indiana and they had at least seven children. He worked as a mail carrier. He died on March 18, 1913 and is buried in the Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville, Indiana.
