Biographical / Historical

Mary Helen Boyd Higgins was born in June 1892, in Columbus, Indiana, to Linnaeus and Mary (Spencer) Boyd. After living a short time in Richmond, Indiana, Higgins moved with her family to Indianapolis. She married lawyer William R. Higgins between 1920 and 1930. An author, Higgins wrote several biographies for children as part of the Childhood of Famous Americans series. Higgins died in 1971.
