Biographical Note

John North, born in 1841, was a resident of Bluffton, Wells County, Indiana. Mr. North had three known brothers: Jerre, Jacob, and William. John North was married to Martha Bodine, with whom he had three sons: Harry, Dwight, and Merle. John North fought in the Civil War with the 23rd Iowa Regiment, Company G. John North died April 23, 1921, and is buried at Fairview Cemetery in Bluffton, Indiana.
