Biographical Note
Alexander Heron was born in 1827 in Maryland. He moved with his family to Indiana before 1850. Heron was a farmer in Fayette and Franklin C\counties, Indiana, as well as secretary of the Indiana State Board of Agriculture between 1872 and 1891. He married Helen M. [maiden name unknown] between 1850 and 1870. Heron died May 29, 1900, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
