This collection contains a letter from Wilhelmina G. Hedde to the Indiana State Library on June 10, 1935 regarding the donation of her book, Speech. In the letter, she also mentions that her biography can be found in the new American Women. Biographical Note
Wilhelmina G. Hedde was born on September 12, 1895 in Logansport, Indiana to John and Ida Mae Graves Hedde. She graduated from DePauw University in 1919 and received a master's degree from Northwestern University in 1929. Hedde worked as a speech and drama teacher in both Indiana and Texas and retired in 1969. She was co-author of the book, Speech, a high school textbook published in 1935. Hedde died on May 31, 1988.
