Biographical Note

James M. Hamilton was born September 2, 1845 in Fayette County, Indiana to Robert and Matilda Hamilton. He served in Company G, 124th Indiana Regiment during the Civil War and was a mail clerk for the railroad. He passed away in Randolph County, Indiana on February 9, 1925.
