Biographical Note

Archibald McClelland Hall was born on July 27, 1863 at Laughlintown, Pennsylvania to Robert and Catherine Hall. He graduated from Butler University in 1888 and attended Yale Divinity School. He married Lucy Howe (1874-1913) on November 27, 1902 and they had a son, Hamilton Howe Hall (1903-1986). After Lucy's death, Hall married Eulalie Cline (1881-1958) on March 8, 1922. He was involved in manufacturing and established the Archibald M. Hall Company in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the Republican nominee for Congress from the 7th district in 1930, but was defeated by Democrat Louis Ludlow. He died on August 14, 1935.
