Biographical Note

Alice Goldthwaite, born May 24, 1869, was the daughter of Simon and Martha Goldthwaite. Her family was one of the early settlers in Marion County, Indiana. Goldthwaite was known for her leadership skills as well as civic contributions. She was a past president of the Marion Department club and a regent of the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a member of the Gethsemane Episcopal Church. Goldthwaite also traveled extensively. She died on September 7, 1933.
