This collection contains 6 clippings of photographs printed in The Pioneer, a monthly publication of the Library Bureau Division of Remington Rand, Inc. of Buffalo, New York, regarding the Logansport Public Library (circa 1942). The photographs include a picture of the exterior of the library following the 1941 fire and exterior and interior images of the new library built in 1942.

Historical Note
Logansport, Indiana opened its first library on November 1, 1894. On August 1, 1904, a new building was completed with funding from Andrew Carnegie. A fire destroyed the Carnegie building on March 17, 1941 along with 25,000 volumes from the library's collection. The following year a new $105,000 facility was built and a dedication ceremony was held on September 25, 1942. Guest speakers included Louise Wichard, wife of U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Claude Wichard, and Harold F. Brigham, director of the Indiana State Library.
