Historical Note

The Gas City, Indiana Mill Township Public Library started bookmobile service February 22, 1918. The Fulton County Rochester, Indiana Public Library began bookmobile service in 1921. Statewide statistics appear not to have been gathered prior to 1954. In 1954, 12 libraries owned 15 bookmobiles.
