Biographical Note
George Dulany Fitzhugh was born October 31, 1808, in Maryland. He moved from Baltimore, Maryland to Madison, Indiana. Fitzhugh married Elizabeth Yellot Worthington on May 1, 1832, and they had five children. She died March 3, 1857. He then married Hannah Priscilla Worthington and they had one child. Fitzhugh worked as a bookkeeper for the Madison branch of the State Bank of Indiana. He died January 3, 1889, and was buried in Springdale Cemetery, Madison, Indiana.
