Biographical Note

George Dulany Fitzhugh was born October 31, 1808 In the state of Maryland. He moved from Baltimore, MD to Madison, Indiana. He married Elizabeth Yellot Worthington on May 1, 1832, with whom he had five children. She died March 3, 1857. He then married Hannah Priscilla Worthington (possibly his sister-in-law), with whom he had one children. He worked as a bookkeeper for the Madison Branch State Bank of Indiana. He died January 3, 1889 and is buried in Springdale Cemetery, Madison, Indiana.
