Maney and from Barton Warren Evermann ranging circa 1926-1940, regarding scientific expeditions, foreign countries, and personal matters.

Biographical Note

Russell "Russ" Vervan Fisher was born March 14, 1895 in Argos, Indiana to Blanche M. Fisher. He was one of at least two children. He served in World War I, according to his tombstone but there is no corresponding official record verifying that. His obituary says World War II, as a Corporal for the 313 Supply Company QMC. He lived in Marshall and Culver, Indiana. He was married to Beulah, with whom he had three children. He worked as a rural mail carrier for 31 years and was a member of the Fleet American Legion Post and the Culver Methodist Church. He died on February 16, 1963 and is buried in the Masonic Cemetery, Culver, Indiana.
